National Conference Fund
National Conference Financial Aid Fund Guidelines & Criteria
A financial aid fund is available for participants to apply for financial assistance to attend FIRST National Conferences. The National Conference Financial Aid Fund will provide funds for registration and accommodations. Funding is limited; all applications will be evaluated based on fund guidelines.
FIRST has awarded $98,000 for 111 families to attend the National Conference since 2008
With many thanks to Beiersdorf, makers of Eucerin and Aquaphor, funds have been donated to make additional financial aid awards to attend the FIRST National Conference-Minneapolis.
Eligibility for Applicants
- Each applicant must be a member of FIRST.
- Based upon availability of funds, priority will be given to applicants who clearly demonstrate a need for financial assistance based upon income and family circumstances. All applications will be strictly confidential.
Disbursement of Funds:
- Depending on what is awarded, award recipients may have conference registration fees and/or hotel fees for up to (3) nights STANDARD ROOM (does not include city view rooms) provided. If awarded registration fees, the awarded fees will be waived when you submit your completed registration form.
Application
- The submission period to apply for Financial Aid to attend the 2026 FIRST National Conference-Minneapolis has now ended
- Applications must be submitted with
1. Confirmation of hotel reservation
2. Copy of first two pages of most recent IRS Form 1040 (or similar international document) - FOR YOUR PROTECTION, PLEASE BLACK OUT YOUR TAX IDENTIFICATION NUMBER and BANK ACCOUNT NUMBERS BEFORE SENDING YOUR TAX FORMS.
- Information provided will only be used for the FIRST National Conference and remain confidential.
