Bailey’s Broadway Birthday Bash was another success! Held on June 20, 2026, it was a celebration of Bailey Fabiano’s birthday, her love of Broadway music, and a chance to fundraise for FIRST. The evening had 22 performers in total with several professionals singing their favorite showtunes from hit shows such as Les Miserables, Hamilton, Wicked, Six, The Phantom of the Opera and many more! Over $4000 was raised for FIRST through ticket sales, online donations, a basket auction and a silent auction.
Highlights that made this year extra special were Hunter Steinitz of Pittsburgh, Mikela Murphy of Baltimore, and Abby Evans Haines of Lancaster, all affected with ichthyosis, taking a part in the evening’s celebrations. The venue had an appetizer buffet and ran with the NYC theme with appetizers such as Waldorf chicken salad, a hot dog stand, and funnel cakes! Plus, this was Bailey’s 40th birthday, so there were added surprises throughout the evening to make it memorable for her, including a personal video from her favorite Broadway star, Laura Osnes.
This annual fundraiser first took root in 2020. With COVID-19 restrictions still limiting gatherings, Bailey wanted a way to celebrate her birthday while bringing people together through a shared love of theatre. She invited her theatre-loving friends to record themselves performing a Broadway song, and on the night of her birthday, everyone gathered on Zoom to watch the performances together.
A year later, after more than a year without performing, those same performers were eager to get back on stage—and Bailey’s Broadway Birthday Bash was officially born.
The cast is made up of people Bailey has performed in musicals with, taught dance to, directed in musical productions, as well as students from her mom’s piano and voice studio. They come together each year to celebrate the performing arts while supporting a meaningful cause.
This is an annual event in June, so keep your eyes peeled for next year’s event!
