Phantom Tea

What is the Phantom Tea?

It is a fun and easy way to involve our membership all across the country in a single fundraising event. The Phantom Tea encourages you to invite your family and friends to a virtual (or real!) tea party, and then to ask them to donate to a very worthy cause….FIRST.

How does it work and how can I help?
  • If you have received a packet in the mail: Tell us how many invitations you will need in the enclosed postcard and return it to us, or call or fill out our contact form online. You may ask for as few or as many as you want.  We will fill your order and send them out to you.
  • If this is your first time getting involved in The Phantom Tea: Tell us how many invitations you will need on our contact form and we will fill your order and send them out to you. You may ask for as few or as many as you want.

Ideas for a successful Phantom Tea Party
  • A “virtual” tea party
  • Traditional “hot tea” party
  • A nice “iced tea” party
  • A “Long Island Iced Tea” party
What are the Next Steps?
Once you receive the invitation packages, simply fill in the affected person’s name on the
in honor of” space provided on the return card (or simply write FIRST, if you’d like to make a general donation) and distribute them to your selected family and friends. The invitation has room on the inside for you to add a personal note or a photo, if you wish to personalize it.

Email, Facebook or Twitter: With a few clicks, you can participate electronically! Copy and paste the text from this letter into your personal email, facebook, or twitter page and you will be able to send an electronic invitation to your family and friends in your address book and they can reply securely through our website.

Every donor will be thanked by FIRST shortly after their donation is received. Once the campaign is over, the Foundation will provide you with a list of your donors so that you can personally thank them as well. All donations are fully tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

We look forward to your support.
Please call if you have any questions or concerns

This fundraiser is so simple because no one has to leave their home or get dressed up for this tea party, unless they want to.

“Many members are enjoying having real tea parties. It’s a great excuse for a girls night in!”
