The story featured their daughter; Carlie, who is affected with Netherton syndrome, and how it has impacted their family telling where they found support. Betty Ann and Paul did a great job of creating awareness about ichthyosis in their community. The newspaper has over 15,000 papers in circulation; think about how many people have been made aware of ichthyosis in just one day!
